Lucent Settles Age Bias Case. Lucent
Technologies will pay $195,000 to settle an age discrimination
lawsuit filed on behalf of a 55-year-old worker who lost his job
after more than three decades with the telecommunications
equipment maker.
Make Me Laugh. Some observers have
suggested that political correctness killed humor in the
workplace. But in truth, it killed only a certain kind of humor:
the kind that mocks others for inherent traits.
